Check Official Document Processing on Smartphone ... 'Mobile Munseo24' Launched
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo In-kyung] The Ministry of the Interior and Safety announced on the 25th that it will launch the 'Mobile Document 24 (m.open.gdoc.go.kr)' service on the 26th, allowing users to check official document processing details via mobile devices such as smartphones.
This new Mobile Document 24 service improves the convenience of the existing 'Document 24 (open.gdoc.go.kr)', which allows non-face-to-face submission of official documents, in response to the increased use of non-face-to-face services due to the spread of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
Document 24 is a service that enables citizens to submit official documents to over 2,800 public institutions online and receive results. Since its official launch in September 2018, the number of uses, which was 138 cases last year, has nearly doubled to about 2.35 million cases from January to September this year.
The newly launched Mobile Document 24 service allows users to check the processing results of official documents submitted to institutions and the institutions' replies via mobile devices such as smartphones.
Additionally, the existing Document 24 has introduced a 'web form' feature, enabling document creation without separate programs like Hangul.
Citizens can search all 270,000 types of statutory forms automatically linked with the Legal Information Center by accessing Document 24, and can create and attach official documents online for submission.
The Ministry of the Interior and Safety will also hold online public participation events such as the 'Mobile Launch Commemorative Quiz' and the 'Document 24 Usage Essay Contest' to celebrate the launch of Mobile Document 24.
Han Chang-seop, Director of Government Innovation Organization at the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, said, "In the COVID-19 situation, we will continuously improve Document 24 so that it can establish itself as a representative non-face-to-face service of government innovation and ensure that citizens do not experience inconvenience or difficulties related to official document submission."
