According to the local public broadcaster NHK's tally, as of 8 p.m. on the 24th, 725 new COVID-19 cases were confirmed across Japan.
Accordingly, Japan's cumulative number of COVID-19 cases rose to 97,432.
Recent daily new COVID-19 cases in Japan were 621 on the 21st, 617 on the 22nd, and 748 the previous day.
On this day, the number of new COVID-19 cases by region was highest in Tokyo Metropolis with 203 cases, followed by Osaka Prefecture with 96 cases, and Kanagawa Prefecture with 62 cases.
