On the 23rd, Yoon Chang-hyun, a member of the National Assembly's Political Affairs Committee who requested Lee Jin-ah as a witness, said, "While I sympathize with Lee Jin-ah's personal circumstances, there should be at least some courtesy toward the victims," adding, "I deeply regret the disregard for the public's right to know."
Yoon explained, "When visiting the Optimus Asset Management office, some victims were discharged early from the hospital despite being hospitalized," and emphasized, "Lee Jin-ah's testimony is necessary to uncover the substantive truth of the Optimus Asset Management incident."

Earlier, Lee Jin-ah submitted a letter of absence to the National Assembly, stating, "Considering that the prosecution investigation into various suspicions is still ongoing, I regretfully ask for understanding that I cannot appear as a witness." She also cited her pregnancy, writing, "I cannot attend for the safety and health of the fetus."
