No Young-min, Chief of Staff to the President, is attending the Senior Secretary and Aide Meeting held at the Blue House on the 28th of last month.
On the 22nd, the Blue House held a National Security Council (NSC) Standing Committee meeting chaired by Presidential Chief of Staff Noh Young-min to discuss the response situation to the shooting incident involving a government official at sea near Soyeonpyeong Island in the West Sea.
The standing committee members reviewed the joint search efforts for the body being conducted by related ministries and agencies, and agreed to continue thorough search activities while paying close attention to maritime safety and vigilance. They will also continue information cooperation with neighboring countries.

The standing committee members discussed recent developments around the Korean Peninsula and issues related to the ROK-US alliance, and agreed to make efforts to manage diplomatic and security situations stably. Until now, the NSC Standing Committee meetings had been chaired by National Security Office Director Suh Hoon, but due to his self-quarantine after returning from the United States, this meeting was chaired by Chief of Staff Noh.
