Dongshin University Operates '3D Pen Character Making' Program
Elementary Students and Parents Experience Making Brooches and More with About 10 Participants
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yoon Jamin] The Makerspace Project Group at Dongshin University announced on the 21st that it conducted the '2020 Anyone Maker Experience F-1 Program.'
Through this program held at the Dongshin University Energy Cluster in Bitgaram-dong, Naju-si, Jeollanam-do, about 10 local elementary school students and parents experienced making their desired characters and brooches using 3D pens.
The project group plans to consecutively conduct 11 programs, including 3D printing experiences, targeting elementary, middle, and high school students, university students, and the general public in the Gwangju and Jeonnam areas until December.
Meanwhile, Dongshin University was selected in May for the 2020 Makerspace Specialized Lab category by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and is receiving about 7 billion KRW in support over five years to foster professional makers.

Not only Dongshin University students but also general citizens and prospective entrepreneurs can directly design and manufacture desired products using digital tools such as 3D printers.
