[Asia Economy Reporter Park Soyeon] LG Chem stated on the 21st during a conference call that it possesses technology to prevent battery fires.
LG Chem explained, "We have technology that diagnoses abnormalities more quickly and thoroughly through the BMS for problematic batteries or cells to detect issues early, and we raise quality control standards during the production process before the products go to the field. We also have automated technology to improve cell quality. Additionally, we are securing technology to enhance design stability at the module pack design stage."
