‘Descendants of Edison’ All Here... University Clubs Sweep Domestic and International Competition Awards
Silla University Student Invention Club Produces 8 Winners Including Grand Prize, Gold, and Bronze at Domestic and International Invention Competitions
Students from the student invention club at Silla University swept major awards at domestic and international invention competitions.

Silla University E.P.C.P students participated in the 19th Korea Youth Invention Idea Contest hosted by the Korea University Invention Association and the World Invention Creativity Olympic, achieving numerous awards.
At the domestic competition, which saw participation from about 2,400 people, four students won grand prizes, gold medals, and bronze medals. At the international competition, with about 500 participants from over 20 countries including Canada, Vietnam, and Malaysia, four students received gold medals.
At the domestic competition, Jung Chang-woo (3rd year, Department of Intelligent Automotive Engineering) won the grand prize (Minister of Science and ICT Award) with his entry "Industrial Site Safety Equipment."
Park Ji-ho (1st year, Department of Intelligent Automotive Engineering) received a gold medal (Daejin University President Award) for "Rehabilitation Physical Therapy Device," and Kim Min-ji (4th year, Department of Computer Education) received a gold medal (Commissioner of the Korean Intellectual Property Office Award) for her invention "Device to Prevent the Spread of Social Disease Infection."
Kim Ye-young (4th year, Department of Convergence Mechanical Engineering) earned a bronze medal (President of the Korea Invention Promotion Association Award) for her invention "Electric Range for Preventing Safety Accidents."
At the international competition, four students participated as two teams and won awards. Lee Hong-hee (3rd year, Department of Intelligent Automotive Engineering) and Jeon Hyun-joon (1st year, Department of Intelligent Automotive Engineering) submitted "Comfortable Cat Toilet," while Park Han-ul (4th year, Department of Intelligent Automotive Engineering) and Kim Yoo-jin (1st year, Department of Intelligent Automotive Engineering) submitted "Safe Stroller," each receiving gold medals.
Founded in November 2011, the E.P.C.P club, under the guidance of Professors Kim Soon-ho and Kim Ki-wan of the Department of Intelligent Automotive Engineering, has steadily achieved presidential and ministerial level awards every year at the Korea Youth Invention Idea Contest despite its relatively short history.
