View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Jae-hee] Sanna Marin (34), the Prime Minister of Finland, has become the center of controversy after posing for a fashion photo shoot without wearing a bra, revealing cleavage.
On the 15th (local time), according to the British Daily Mail, the fashion magazine Trendy released on Instagram a photo shoot of Prime Minister Marin wearing only a necklace with a jacket and clasping her hands together.
Trendy stated in the photo description that Marin was selected as the cover figure for October and shot the photo shoot, adding, "She is playing a leading role as an influencer driving change."
The controversial photo shoot clearly shows that she is not wearing a bra, as only a flashy necklace is worn over bare skin, exposing cleavage.
Prime Minister Marin's photo shoot is styled as a cleavich (cleavage) look to emphasize the cleavage.
Many who saw the photo criticized Marin, saying she "undermines trust as a politician" or "is not dignified as the head of a country."
On the other hand, some praised her as "a courageous woman breaking patriarchal social culture." In support, people began posting photos on social networking services (SNS) wearing jackets without underwear, exposing cleavage like the prime minister in the photo shoot.
Some men also joined in, posting photos on SNS imitating Prime Minister Marin.
They showed support for Marin by posting no-bra photos with the hashtag '#imwithsanna.'
Trendy indicated in the photo description that "Prime Minister Marin is well aware that women's appearances are always subjects of interest and controversy," suggesting that she anticipated the current controversy caused by the photo shoot.
In a magazine interview, Prime Minister Marin said, "I am having a difficult year due to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19)," and "I live an extraordinary life and carry a lot of burden."
