Namwon-si Supports Tourism Businesses in Preparation for Post-Corona Era
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Namwon City is promoting a project to develop and support new tourism products for local tourism businesses in order to effectively respond to changes in travel trends in the post-COVID-19 era.
Accordingly, as of the end of July, the city plans to support product development costs ranging from 2 million to 4 million KRW depending on the number of employees through a qualification review process by receiving business plans on △ tourism product planning △ cooperation among tourism businesses △ promotional measures from companies designated as tourism businesses under the Tourism Promotion Act.
The target tourism businesses include 49 companies in five sectors: travel agencies, tourism accommodation businesses, tourist facility usage businesses, amusement facility businesses, and tourism convenience facility businesses.
In the case of the same representative, only one company can receive support, and applications can be submitted in person or by mail until November 10.

Lee Hyun-jae, Director of the Tourism Division, said, “This project was launched to strengthen Namwon City's tourism competitiveness and promote mutual cooperation with local tourism businesses in the post-COVID-19 era,” adding, “Through this project, we hope to establish a new tourism paradigm for Namwon City, discover new tourism products, develop untact content, and turn the crisis into an opportunity.”
