View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Cho Hyun-ui] The number of confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) in South Korea increased by 110 on the 15th. Due to a cluster infection at Busan Haetteurak Nursing Hospital, the number of new confirmed cases returned to triple digits after two days.
The Central Disease Control Headquarters (CDCH) announced that as of midnight on that day, the total number of COVID-19 confirmed cases rose by 110 from the previous day’s midnight to 24,988.
Regarding the infection routes of the new confirmed cases, 95 were locally transmitted and 15 were imported from overseas.
Among the locally transmitted cases, 54 were in Busan, 22 in Seoul, 11 in Incheon, 6 in Gyeonggi, 1 in Gangwon, and 1 in Daejeon.
Of the 15 imported cases, 6 were detected during quarantine upon entry. The rest tested positive while in self-quarantine at their residences or temporary living facilities in various regions: 3 in Seoul, 2 in Gyeonggi, 1 in Busan, 1 in Jeonbuk, 1 in Chungbuk, and 1 in Gyeongbuk.

The number of patients who have been declared fully recovered and released from isolation reached 23,082, an increase of 52 from the previous day. The death toll rose by 1 to 439.
