Korea Maritime University and BISTEP Sign Cooperation Agreement for Marine Industry Development

View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Woo-kwon] Korea Maritime and Ocean University recently signed a 'Memorandum of Understanding for Mutual Cooperation in the Regional Marine Industry' with the Busan Institute of Science and Technology for Economic Promotion (hereinafter BISTEP).
Korea Maritime and Ocean University and BISTEP plan to mutually cooperate for the sustainable development of the regional marine industry by ▲ promoting joint research and development and mutual support in the marine convergence field ▲ establishing a system for nurturing and utilizing excellent local talent in the marine industry.
Kim Byung-jin, Director of BISTEP, said, "I believe Korea Maritime and Ocean University is an essential university for the development of the entire marine industry in our country," and added, "I hope this agreement will be the starting point that leads not only to the development of Busan but also to the development of the Republic of Korea."
