Yeonggwang-gun Accepting Applications for 'Youth Special Job-Seeking Support Fund' Until the 24th
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters reporter Lee Jeonseong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kim Junsung) announced on the 13th that it is accepting the second round of applications for the ‘Youth Special Job-Seeking Support Fund,’ which provides 500,000 KRW per person to young people struggling to find employment due to COVID-19, until the 24th.
The Youth Special Job-Seeking Support Fund was introduced as an emergency measure considering the difficult employment conditions for young people caused by reduced or postponed hiring and prolonged job-seeking periods due to COVID-19.
The second round of applicants are those who have completed or are currently participating in job-seeking support programs this year, such as the Employment Success Package and Youth Job-Seeking Activity Support Fund provided by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.
Eligible applicants will receive a one-time payment of 500,000 KRW from the Youth Special Job-Seeking Support Fund, and upon their request, services such as employment counseling, job placement, and vocational training will be provided.
The Ministry of Employment and Labor will review the eligibility by verifying the applicant’s employment or start-up status after the application is completed, and notify the results by mid-next month. If the applicant is not eligible, the reasons will also be provided.
