Bonjuk·Bonjuk & Bibimbap Cafe Launches '6-Jok Garlic Chicken Porridge' to Support Garlic Farmers in Seosan City
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] BonIF, the operator of the porridge specialty store 'Bonjuk' and the Korean casual dining restaurant 'Bonjuk & Bibimbap Cafe,' announced on the 12th that they have newly introduced a special porridge dish called '6-jjok Garlic Chicken Porridge,' made using the representative specialty of Seosan City, Chungnam, 6-jjok garlic.
Since establishing a connection through an MOU with Seosan City last year, BonIF has released seasonal menus using Seosan wild chives and shepherd's purse, supplied Seosan Tteumbugi rice, and once again introduced a menu utilizing Seosan City's representative specialty, continuing their win-win cooperation.
This new Bonjuk '6-jjok Garlic Chicken Porridge' is a new menu planned jointly by BonIF and Seosan City to support Seosan garlic farmers who are facing difficulties due to the unprecedented long rainy season and typhoons overlapping with the spread of COVID-19.
Amid the COVID-19 aftermath and the recent seasonal transition with large temperature differences, BonIF introduces a special porridge using Seosan 6-jjok garlic, known for boosting immunity, and familiar chicken, while helping Seosan garlic farmers struggling to open sales channels by promoting the consumption of Seosan 6-jjok garlic.
Bonjuk's '6-jjok Garlic Chicken Porridge' features grilled chicken thigh seasoned with honey soy sauce combined with Seosan 6-jjok garlic, which has a deep and rich flavor and aroma from growing in sea breeze conditions, boasting a pungent and savory taste. It is a healthy and delicious dish that anyone, regardless of age or gender, can enjoy by adding savory garlic to the beloved chicken porridge.
