[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] An online briefing session introducing the newly implemented "Special Entry Procedure (Fast Track)" between Korea and Japan, and addressing immigration-related questions from Korean businesspeople entering Japan, will be held for the first time.
The Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) announced on the 12th that it will hold an online briefing session on the "Japan Fast Track" at 11 a.m. on the 15th of this month.
This event was arranged at the request of KCCI for the Embassy of Japan in Korea to directly explain the fast track entry procedure for businesspeople, which has been in effect since the 8th of this month.
This is the first time the Embassy of Japan in Korea has introduced the new entry procedures specifically to Korean businesspeople.
During the live online briefing, Kazumasa Takane, the Economic Counselor of the Embassy of Japan in Korea and the representative of the Japanese side's working-level negotiation team for the Korea-Japan fast track, will give a presentation titled "Japan Fast Track Entry Eligibility and Preparation Procedures."
Additionally, there will be a Q&A session after the lecture for participating businesspeople.
A KCCI official stated, "Since March, personal exchanges between Korea and Japan had been virtually halted, but have now resumed after seven months, generating strong interest among businesspeople from both countries. We expect this event, where the Embassy of Japan in Korea directly explains the fast track policy, to greatly help Korean companies resolve difficulties and questions related to immigration and to discover new business opportunities."
