Suncheon Cultural Foundation, 2020 National Living Culture Festival Contactless Experience 'Soildam Package'
Drive-Thru Event Held to Suit the Untact Era
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] The Suncheon Cultural Foundation (Chairman Heo Seok) and the Regional Culture Promotion Institute (Director Kim Young-hyun) are jointly hosting the 2020 National Living Culture Festival, offering a non-face-to-face experience called ‘Soildam Package’ for nationwide participation.
The Soildam Package is a non-face-to-face experience program where living culture clubs from regions such as Suncheon, Seoul, and Jeju create experience kits that reflect their local characteristics and provide them on a first-come, first-served basis.
Out of 1,900 Soildam Packages produced mainly by living culture clubs from nine regions nationwide, 180 applications were received by the 5th for the eight regions excluding Suncheon through the Suncheon Cultural Foundation website on a first-come, first-served basis. The packages will be distributed on the 8th at the large bus parking lot at the East Gate of Suncheonman National Garden via a drive-through method.
In Suncheon, the host city of the festival, a ‘Mini Garden Package’ symbolizing the ecological culture city will be delivered to 300 people who applied in advance. From the 12th to the 15th, the ‘Jibsaengchuk (2020 National Living Culture Festival Enjoyed at Home) TV’ program will be streamed on the 2020 National Living Culture Festival Facebook page and the Suncheon Cultural Foundation YouTube channel, demonstrating how to make the packages.
Additionally, an event will be held where participants who experience the Soildam Package can upload photos or videos with hashtags on their own SNS, and prizes will be awarded through a drawing.
One participant who pre-registered for the Soildam Package event said, “It has been very frustrating because it is difficult to go out due to COVID-19, but I am really looking forward to experiencing it with my children at home and enjoying the festival online.”
