Jeju Coast Guard Conducts '2020 Excellent Police Substation Selection Evaluation'
On-Site Police Officers' Job Competency Evaluation Including Coastal Accident Response Training
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Hwang Jeongpil] Jeju Maritime Police Station (Chief Go Min-gwan) announced on the 7th that from the 6th, over about a month, it will conduct the ‘2020 Excellent Police Substation Evaluation’ including life-saving training targeting three substations under the jurisdiction of Jeju Maritime Police Station.
According to Jeju Maritime Police, this evaluation includes team assessments for various disaster situations such as ship capsizing and collisions, life-saving training, individual evaluations on the use of rescue equipment, and the operational capability of substation systems.
Jeju Maritime Police expects that this comprehensive and multi-dimensional evaluation will enhance teamwork and the individual rescue capabilities of police officers.
Additionally, after the first evaluation hosted by Jeju Maritime Police, training will be intensified to be selected as one of the top five substations nationwide in the Jeju Regional Maritime Police Agency evaluation scheduled around November.
Simultaneously with the excellent substation evaluation, to prepare for sudden ship fire accidents, the plan is to strengthen inspection of substation firefighting equipment and conduct repetitive training simulating real situations without scenarios to prepare for winter ship fire accidents.
