[Featured Stock] Microtech Expected to Finalize Export Contract for 500 Million Masks
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Microtech is showing strong performance. The news that its affiliate, N2Cell's BreathSilver mask, has obtained the European Community Mark (CE) certification following the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) approval appears to have influenced the stock price.
As of 11:18 AM on the 7th, Microtech is trading at 5,580 KRW, up 5.28% from the previous day.
A Microtech representative stated, "With the acquisition of the European CE certification, the brand awareness and consumer trust of the BreathSilver mask in the global market will be further elevated," adding, "The global sales volume of masks is expected to increase significantly."
Recently, Microtech established a nano mask factory in Paju, Gyeonggi Province, capable of producing up to 100 million units per month. They introduced domestic equipment that is 20% more efficient compared to existing mask production facilities.
Microtech plans to focus on expanding the production of masks for export by leveraging the FDA and European CE certifications.
A company official said, "While the low-priced mask market is highly competitive due to increased supply, the premium mask market prices are showing a steady trend," and added, "We expect sales growth and improved profitability through export expansion following the acquisition of the European CE certification."
