[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Seon-gang] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 6th that it will hold the ‘Artificial Intelligence-Green New Deal Roundtable Discussion’ in the city council's main conference room on the afternoon of the 7th.
This roundtable discussion is a meeting to discuss the 2021 Artificial Intelligence-Green New Deal implementation plan aimed at creating ‘Region-centered! Citizen-led! Gwangju as a Leading Green New Deal City.’ About 40 participants, including nine city departments directly related to climate change response, the city council’s Green New Deal Special Committee, civic groups, and experts, will engage in discussions across seven sectors such as environment, architecture, and transportation.
Prior to the discussion, each department compiled the major projects for 2021 and proposed 92 projects to realize the three main strategies of the ‘Artificial Intelligence-Green New Deal’: green transition city, climate-safe city, and green industrial city.
During the roundtable, based on the projects proposed by each department, participants will discuss sector-specific climate crisis response strategies, budget securing, and citizen participation methods.
