Korea Investment Corporation Joins 'Thanks Challenge' to Overcome COVID-19
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] The sovereign wealth fund Korea Investment Corporation (KIC) announced on the 6th that President Choi Hee-nam and employees participated in the 'Thanks To Challenge' campaign, which delivers messages of gratitude to medical staff and citizens dedicated to overcoming the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19).
The 'Thanks To Challenge' is a campaign initiated by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasure Headquarters to encourage COVID-19 medical personnel, and it has recently expanded to support all citizens.
President Choi Hee-nam, who joined the campaign upon the recommendation of Choi Jae-young, Director of the International Finance Center, conveyed a message of support to medical staff, quarantine authorities, and citizens through sign language gestures symbolizing respect and pride.
President Choi said, "I express my gratitude to everyone who has been fighting the difficult battle to overcome COVID-19 so far," adding, "If the entire nation unites as one, we will surely overcome the coronavirus."
