Second Jeju-style Emergency Disaster Living Support Fund Deadline on the 11th... "Apply Quickly"
[Jeju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Chang-won] The second round of the Jeju-type Disaster Emergency Living Support Fund application in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province will close on October 11.
According to Jeju Province on the 6th, as of October 5, approximately 95% of residents, totaling 641,981 people, have applied for the second Jeju-type Disaster Emergency Living Support Fund, and 64 billion KRW has been paid out.
Jeju Province originally planned to end the application period on September 27 but extended it to October 11. It was confirmed that about 5,000 additional people applied for the support fund from September 28 to October 5.
The application system has lifted the 5-day rotation system, allowing applications regardless of birth year through visits to eup, myeon, and dong offices or online via the Happy Dream Portal. However, on Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, only online applications are accepted. On-site visits and appeals are available until October 8.
The province is actively promoting the fund through YouTube, bus information terminals, bank ATMs (Automated Teller Machines), and disaster text alerts to ensure all residents receive the second Disaster Emergency Living Support Fund.
Eligible applicants are households registered as of 0:00 on July 29 in Jeju Special Self-Governing Province and marriage immigrants and permanent residents listed in the foreigner registration records.
Newborns not registered in the resident registry as of the reference date (born before 0:00 on July 29) and marriage immigrants with residence status other than F-6 (marriage immigrant) who meet the support requirements can also receive the fund after an appeal process.
Applications can be made by the head of the household or cohabitants registered in the resident registry, and the amount is 100,000 KRW per household member.
