Prosecutors Conduct Search and Seizure at SK Networks Headquarters and 10 Affiliates, Including Chairman Choi Hyun-won's Residence
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Seok-jin] The prosecution has launched a forced investigation into allegations of breach of trust and slush fund creation involving Choi Seon-won, chairman of SK Networks.
Following the second personnel reshuffle of the prosecution by Minister of Justice Chu Mi-ae, the prosecution, which had shown no particular movement, has drawn its first sword against a large corporation, indicating a high-intensity investigation is expected.
The Anti-Corruption Investigation Division 1 of the Seoul Central District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Jeon Jun-cheol) is conducting a search and seizure at 10 locations, including the SK Networks headquarters and its affiliates, located in Jung-gu, Seoul, on the morning of the 6th.
The prosecution's search and seizure targets on this day also included Chairman Choi's residence and office.
The prosecution has dispatched prosecutors and investigators to these locations to secure accounting-related documents and computer hard disks.
