According to the S?o Paulo state government on the 3rd (local time), the cumulative confirmed cases reached approximately 1,003,400, exceeding 1 million just over seven months after the first confirmed case was reported. The population of S?o Paulo state was 46 million as of the end of last year.
The cumulative death toll as of this day was recorded at 36,136.
The S?o Paulo state government reported that at least one confirmed case has been found in all 645 cities, and deaths have been reported in 574 cities, stating that "the overall COVID-19 situation is showing signs of stabilization."
