Ministry of SMEs and Startups Opens Applications for 'Small Business New Hope Fund'
Baedal Minjok Promotes Application Methods via Boss Plaza Banners, Friend Talk Messages, and Official Blog Posts
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Woowa Brothers, the operator of Baedal Minjok (hereafter Baemin), announced on the 29th that they have actively promoted the government's 'Small Business New Hope Fund.'
The Small Business New Hope Fund is implemented according to the 4th supplementary budget passed by the National Assembly and is a customized support fund for small business owners affected by the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19). The Ministry of SMEs and Startups decided to provide the New Hope Fund to 2.41 million small business owners in general and specially affected industries before the Chuseok holiday and has been accepting online applications since the 24th.
Baemin is informing small business owners on its platform about how to apply for the New Hope Fund through ▲internet and mobile site banners ▲notification messages ▲official blog posts. First, on the 25th, Baemin posted on the 'Baemin Boss Official Blog' a summary of the New Hope Fund support targets and frequently asked questions based on announcements from the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and the Small Enterprise and Market Service. A link banner was also inserted in the post to allow direct access to the fund application site.
Additionally, from the 28th to the 30th, Baemin displayed banners on the 'Baedal Minjok Boss Plaza' so that users could check detailed information about the New Hope Fund, including inquiries, application methods, and payment schedules. The Boss Plaza site has about 200,000 members and can be accessed via both internet and mobile, playing a role in attracting the interest and participation of small business owners. On the 28th, notification messages related to the New Hope Fund were also sent through the KakaoTalk channel 'Baedal Minjok Boss Smart,' which has about 90,000 friends.
