Vice Minister Choi Jong-geon Meets Australian Ambassador to Korea... Strengthening Eco-friendly Economic Cooperation
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] On the 28th, Choi Jong-geon, First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, held a meeting with James Choi, Ambassador of Australia to Korea, and exchanged broad opinions on Korea-Australia bilateral relations, responses to the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19), and regional situations.
Both sides agreed that Korea-Australia relations have developed across various fields, and especially hoped that cooperation in eco-friendly economic sectors, including hydrogen utilization and supply, would deepen as a cooperation area after COVID-19.
Vice Minister Choi expressed his expectation that cooperation would bear fruit, such as participation in vaccine supply systems between the two countries and joint vaccine development projects between private companies, as the two countries respond to COVID-19 through close coordination.
