[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-yoon] The People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy criticized the police's decision to completely block the planned vehicle protest rally in downtown Seoul on National Foundation Day by some conservative groups as an excessive measure.
On the 28th, the People's Solidarity for Participatory Democracy issued a statement saying, "It is true that public anxiety is high over the possibility of a large-scale spread repeating, as seen after the August 15 Liberation Day rally, amid the ongoing COVID-19 surge," but added, "The response to completely block the rally is excessive."
