According to Kyodo News, the leaders of China and Japan will have a phone conversation on that day.
Japanese media suggest that they may exchange views regarding President Xi's state visit to Japan, originally scheduled for April but postponed due to the spread of the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
The two leaders are expected to confirm their willingness for high-level dialogue to discuss cooperation on COVID-19 measures and the development of China-Japan relations.
