Dongseo University (President Jang Je-guk) announced on the 25th that the ‘Dongbaekkkot Volunteer Corps,’ a talent donation club of the Future Career College, delivered 800 mask straps they made to three welfare centers for underprivileged groups in the local community.
The ‘Handmade Mask Strap Delivery Ceremony to Overcome COVID-19,’ held over two days starting from the 24th, was attended by officials from Dongseo University’s Future Career College, members of the Dongbaekkkot Volunteer Corps, and heads of social welfare institutions (Sasang-gu Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Dangam Comprehensive Social Welfare Center, Gaegum Comprehensive Social Welfare Center).
The ‘Dongbaekkkot Volunteer Corps’ is a talent donation club formed by lifelong learners balancing social life and academics.
This year, due to the spread of the coronavirus, group volunteer activities could not be conducted. Instead, the members came up with the idea of making mask straps to help people not lose their masks, which are essential daily items.
