Lotte Duty Free Supports Korean Nurses Association with 'Mind Quarantine Kit'
Partial Amount of Online Sales for Duty-Free Inventory Items
[Asia Economy Reporter Cha Min-young] Lotte Duty Free announced on the 25th that it had delivered 500 ‘LDF Mind Quarantine Kits,’ produced using part of the proceeds from online sales of surplus duty-free goods, to the Korean Nurses Association on the 24th.
The overall design of the ‘LDF Mind Quarantine Kit,’ which consists of a tumbler, functional T-shirt, grip tok (smartphone finger holder), and support messages, was created through the talent donation of Steven Wilson, a famous British pop artist. Steven Wilson conveyed the meaning of the design, saying, “It contains artwork expressing respect and gratitude for the dedication of Korean medical staff.”
Among the components, the support messages for medical staff were created by collecting social network service (SNS) comments from customers who participated in the ‘LDF Mind Quarantine Kit Donation Campaign’ conducted by Lotte Duty Free at the end of August. Customers wrote comments such as, “Thanks to your sweat, clearer and more beautiful than morning dew, we can still smile today,” and “The heroes we only saw in movies were not far away. Medical staff, you are truly amazing. We support you!” to convey their gratitude.
The LDF Mind Quarantine Kits were delivered to the Korean Nurses Association via the Community Chest of Korea’s Fruit of Love on the 24th and will be distributed to COVID-19 frontline nurses at four medical institutions: Seoul Boramae Hospital, Gyeonggi Anseong Medical Center, Paju Medical Center, and Incheon Medical Center.
