Recruitment of Tenants for Vacant Houses Renovated as Youth Housing in Samyang-dong
[Asia Economy Reporter Onyu Lim] On the 25th, it was announced that vacant houses in Samyang-dong, Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, will be renovated into youth housing and tenants will be recruited.
As a pilot project of the 'Vacant House Urban Regeneration Project,' the Seoul Metropolitan Government purchased two abandoned houses in Samyang-dong and transformed them into a three-story youth housing building with a total floor area of 389.99㎡. It will include 11 residential units, a meeting room, and convenience facilities for local residents to use together.
The rent is about 120,000 KRW per month. The Social Investment Support Foundation fully supports the deposit with a citizen investment fund. The National Credit Union Federation has introduced a regular savings product that allows tenants to receive a preferential interest rate of 7%.
