Every year before Chuseok, the county has held a shopping event with the participation of many public officials and members of social organizations to widely promote Jangseong's traditional markets and stimulate local consumption.
This year, to comply with COVID-19 prevention guidelines, the scale of the event was simplified with only some related officials, including Yuduseok, the governor of Jangseong-gun, participating.
Instead, a campaign was held targeting market users to promote infectious disease prevention rules and distribute masks.
Governor Yuduseok said, "We are thoroughly managing the market by conducting daily disinfection, so please feel safe when using the traditional market," and urged, "Please strictly follow prevention rules such as wearing masks when visiting."
