Damyang-gun Suspends Operations at 7 Major Tourist Sites on Chuseok Day
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Jeonnam Damyang-gun (Governor Choi Hyung-sik) announced on the 24th that it will suspend operations of major tourist attractions on Chuseok day, October 1st.
The county will not operate major tourist sites on Chuseok day as an unavoidable measure to establish a safe tourism environment from COVID-19, anticipating an influx of visitors and tourists during the Chuseok holiday period.
The tourist sites that will be closed on Chuseok day include Juknokwon, Metasequoia Land, Soswaewon, Korea Bamboo Museum, Korean Classical Literature Museum, Gamagol Ecological Park, and Yongmaru-gil, totaling seven locations.
During the holiday period except for Chuseok day, normal operations will continue while complying with COVID-19 prevention guidelines, including mask-wearing instructions and temperature checks for visitors as part of COVID-19 prevention activities.
