"There Are About Four or Five Opposition Presidential Candidates"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Kim Jong-in, the Emergency Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, stated on the 24th regarding his potential presidential candidacy, "To be honest, I am not interested," adding, "People talk a lot about this and that, but it is a very futile thought."
At a discussion hosted by the Broadcast Journalists Club that day, Chairman Kim said, "I am now 80 years old, and as the Emergency Committee Chairman, there is absolutely no atmosphere indicating that I am aiming for something like that."
Chairman Kim said, "When I took charge of the Emergency Committee, I only said that I would change the People Power Party enough to make the next administration possible," and added, "After that, the People Power Party itself will form a new leadership and move forward, won't it?"
