Kim Jong-in: "My Final Duty Is to Build the Foundation for the People Power Party's Return to Power"
"We Will Rebuild as a Party Walking with the Vulnerable"
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Chun-han] Kim Jong-in, Emergency Committee Chairman of the People Power Party, stated on the 24th, "My final historic duty is to lay the foundation for the People Power Party to regain the trust of the people and return to power."
At a discussion hosted by the Broadcast Journalists Club on the same day, Chairman Kim said, "The main opposition party must stand firm for the politics of checks and balances between the ruling and opposition parties to be realized and for the nation's future to brighten."
Chairman Kim emphasized, "As the Emergency Committee Chairman, I have completed the diagnosis and outlook on the party's crisis. I also understand well the reason for the existence of the Emergency Committee. Since taking office four months ago, I have focused on changing the party's platform, name, and color. I do not believe that merely changing the appearance can earn the people's trust. Party members will unite wholeheartedly and continue painful reforms that change the party from within."
