National Tax Service Launches Taxpayer Service Redesign Task Force and Future Strategy Task Force

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kwangho Lee] The National Tax Service (NTS) has launched the 'Tax Payment Service Redesign Task Force' and the '2030 National Tax Administration Future Strategy Task Force.'
On the 23rd, the NTS held an inauguration ceremony for these task forces at its headquarters in Naseong-dong, Sejong, and signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with advisory organizations including the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, and the Korea Institute of Public Finance.
First, the Tax Payment Service Redesign Task Force plans to gather diverse opinions through the NTS communication channels and the regional organizations of the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, reflecting the views of the Korea Institute of Public Finance to develop groundbreaking improvements to tax payment services over the course of one year.
The task force is led by the NTS Planning and Coordination Officer and consists of an operations team (Innovation Policy Office), support organizations, and implementation organizations. Economic organizations and research institutes serve in advisory roles.
The 2030 National Tax Administration Future Strategy Task Force will select research topics after analyzing future environments, incorporate field opinions from the Korea Chamber of Commerce and Industry and the Korea Federation of Small and Medium Business, and conduct research together with the Korea Institute of Public Finance for one year to propose mid- to long-term strategies for national tax administration.
Led by the NTS Deputy Commissioner, four subcommittees and research teams will be active. Economic organizations and research institutes will also participate in the research teams.
