Trump Raises Biden Plastic Surgery Rumors... "If You're Going to Hide It with a Mask, Why Spend Money on Surgery?"
Trump Mocks Biden Over Mask Wearing Issue
[Asia Economy Reporter Naju-seok] U.S. President Donald Trump mentioned that Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden wore a mask and claimed that he had undergone plastic surgery on his face. President Trump mocked Biden by saying that he had plastic surgery but still covered his face.
On the 22nd (local time), Bloomberg News reported that President Trump raised the plastic surgery rumor about Biden without providing any evidence.
At a rally held at Pittsburgh Airport that day, President Trump said, "Next week's presidential debate, Biden will appear wearing a mask," adding, "The question is whether he will wear the mask during the debate." He continued, "He seems to feel good about the mask," and frankly, "If he is going to cover his face with a mask, why did he spend money on plastic surgery?" He referred to the parts of Biden's face covered by the mask as areas where Biden had plastic surgery.
Bloomberg News reported that Biden's camp did not respond to requests for comment regarding this matter.
Biden has consistently worn a mask whenever visiting campaign venues. In contrast, President Trump has rarely appeared in public wearing a mask. Bloomberg News claimed, "Trump's rallies frequently violate local regulations, U.S. government mask guidelines, and restrictions on gathering sizes."

Regarding the fact that COVID-19 deaths in the U.S. have surpassed 200,000, President Trump told reporters, "If we had not responded properly, it would have been over 2.5 million." This was a self-praise implying that greater damage was prevented. Additionally, President Trump stated, "Those under 18 years old are virtually unaffected directly by COVID-19." Bloomberg News introduced this claim as being contrary to the facts.
