Chosun University-Link Campus Join Hands to Develop 'Delivery App' for Revitalizing Local Commercial Districts
Launching on the 5th of next month... Priority Support for University Areas and Gradual Expansion of Application Regions
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Chosun University LINC+ Project Group and Link Campus, a tenant company of the university's startup incubation center, have joined hands to develop a shared delivery app (APP) to revitalize the local commercial district.
On the 22nd, according to the Chosun University LINC+ Project Group, the project group signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) on the 17th with Link Campus, a tenant company of the Chosun University Startup Incubation Center, regarding the development of the shared delivery app ‘Dadam’.
The shared delivery app Dadam is a delivery app that can be used free of charge without commission fees for merchants to revitalize the local commercial district.
It will be primarily supported in the commercial district around Chosun University, and the delivery personnel will be students at Chosun University.
Students registered as delivery personnel will deliver necessary food or goods to orderers inside and outside the university when orders are placed at stores near the university and receive payment.
Chosun University has a large campus and allows small quantity orders, so it is expected to be activated among students. Recently, three enrolled students participated in debugging and problem-solving processes through field training.
Also, through the activities of ‘Link Friends,’ the LINC+ Project Group’s promotional ambassadors composed of enrolled students, they plan to discover small business owners around the university and support the production of promotional videos and product development through partnerships.
The launch of Dadam is scheduled for the 5th of next month, and preparations are being thoroughly made. If successfully established, the usage area will gradually be expanded.
Lee Heonyeong, CEO of Link Campus, said, “Through the app service aimed at revitalizing the local commercial district, we want to contribute to changing the university’s delivery culture and revitalizing the local economy.”
