Innisfree Mo-eum Foundation Calls for Nominations for Jeju Heritage Science Award
[Asia Economy Reporter Yujin Cho] Amorepacific Group's Innisfree MoEum Foundation (Chairman Jin-ho Lee) is publicly recruiting candidates for the '2020 Jeju Heritage Science Award.'
The Jeju Heritage Science Award is a prize established last year to honor scientists who preserve and enhance the value of Jeju heritage, continuing the spirit of love for Jeju of Amorepacific Group founder Chairman Seong-hwan Seo, the previous generation leader.
The main selection criteria include whether the candidate has discovered the usefulness of Jeju's unique resources or developed utilization technologies to increase Jeju's value, and whether they have contributed to improving the quality of life for residents by presenting a future vision for Jeju. One individual in the field of science and technology will be selected and awarded a plaque and a prize of 5 million KRW.
Applications can be made through recommendation or self-nomination. As of the announcement date, applicants must reside in Jeju Province and be engaged in research or technology development related work in the natural sciences (including engineering, medical and health sciences).
