Three Businesses Including Dongmundong Daiso Jonghwa Branch, Seogangdong Rotary Restaurant, and Haengbok Restaurant Participate
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Despite small business owners going through a more difficult time than ever due to COVID-19, the number of ‘Haengbok Cheonsa Stores’ participating in donations for neighbors in need throughout Yeosu City is increasing, creating a warm society.
The Dongmun-dong Community Security Council (Private Chairman Yoon Jin-du) announced, “On the previous day, three businesses including Daiso Jonghwa Branch located in Dongmun-dong were selected as ‘Haengbok Cheonsa Stores’ and held a plaque ceremony.”
The donation amount is used to support urgent livelihood, medical care, and housing environment improvements for welfare recipients and residents in welfare blind spots in Dongmun-dong to help resolve their crises.
The Dongmun-dong Community Security Council has discovered and is operating 34 ‘Haengbok Cheonsa Stores’ and 8 ‘Haengbok Cheonsa Families’ to date.
On the same day, the Seogang-dong Community Security Council (Dongjang Jo Jae-bong, Private Chairman Choi Seon-hwan) also posted plaques at two local Haengbok Cheonsa and Good Stores practicing sharing and donations.
The 28th store Rotary Restaurant and the 29th store Haengbok Restaurant participated.
Good Stores and Good Families donate a fixed amount monthly, and the collected donations will be used for neighbors in need within Seogang-dong.
Jo Jae-bong, head of Seogang-dong, said, “We thank you for your warm affection and love, and we will continue to work harder to spread the culture of donation and sharing in the local community and create a village welfare community.”
