Chungnam Prepares 5,781km of Local Roads Ahead of Chuseok
[Asia Economy (Naepo) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Chungnam Province will conduct a comprehensive inspection of 5,781 km of local roads, including provincial roads, before the Chuseok holiday begins.
The province announced on the 17th that it plans to complete maintenance on delegated national highways (323 km), national local roads (377 km), provincial roads (1,315 km), and city/county roads (3,766 km) within the jurisdiction by the 25th.
Delegated national highways and provincial roads will be maintained by the province, while city and county roads will be maintained by the respective cities and counties. Maintenance includes removing obstacles that hinder vehicle traffic along the roadside, weeding, pothole repairs, lane repainting, and cleaning traffic safety facilities.
In particular, for sections with frequent traffic congestion, temporary signs will be installed to prevent traffic accidents and ensure smooth vehicle flow, focusing on inspection and maintenance.
