40s Man Assaults Teen with Disability on Bus

View original image[Asia Economy Intern Reporter Kim Bong-ju] A man in his 40s who assaulted a teenage person with a disability during a scuffle on a bus has been apprehended by the police.
The Changwon Jungbu Police Station in Gyeongnam announced on the 16th that they are investigating A (43) on charges of assault for attacking a person with a disability who was on the city bus with him.
According to the police, on the 28th of last month at around 10:30 PM, a scuffle occurred between A and B (17), a hearing-impaired teenager, before boarding a city bus in Changwon. After the argument, A violently struck B’s face and other areas. The scuffle and assault continued as the bus passed through 4 to 5 stops.
B received a medical diagnosis of a three-week recovery period due to A’s assault and also lost a hearing aid worth around 10 million won that he was wearing on his ear.
