Jeongeup-si Conducts Special Inspection and Rental of Brush Cutters for Chuseok
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jae-gil] The Jeongeup Agricultural Technology Center in Jeonbuk has initiated maintenance and safety education for brush cutters as their use increases ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
According to Jeongeup City on the 16th, the Agricultural Technology Center completed special maintenance on a total of about 100 units in line with the peak season for grass cutting and weeding, and distributed them across four regional rental offices to rent to citizens and returnees who wish to use brush cutters.
Citizens who wish to rent must present an ID card, personal indemnity insurance, and land register, and pay a designated rental fee to rent the equipment.
The Agricultural Technology Center provided safe usage guidelines for brush cutters and urged special caution for prevention.
Before work, users should wear face shields, safety clothing, leg protectors, safety shoes, gloves, and take sufficient rest before starting work.
Also, users must check the work area for hazards such as stones and beehives, ensure the brush cutter blade does not touch the ground when starting the engine, and avoid approaching the working radius.
