Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Conducts 'Public Officials Crisis Response Capacity Building Training'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangsan-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Kim Samho) announced on the 15th that it will conduct the ‘Public Officials Crisis Response Capacity Enhancement Training’ from the 21st of this month to the 23rd of next month.
This training was promoted to establish a more efficient response system in the public service sector due to the prolonged COVID-19 emergency situation.
Currently, the importance of public health and local government administration is emphasized more than ever due to the prolonged COVID-19 crisis. Local government officials maintaining an emergency quarantine system to protect citizens from infectious diseases cannot neglect policy issues related to citizens' lives.
Last month, with overlapping duties responding to heavy rains and typhoons, the fatigue level of Gwangsan-gu officials has been reaching its peak daily.
Considering these circumstances, the district prepared this training under the theme ‘Wise Crisis Overcoming through Reorganization with With-Corona.’
In particular, the training will be conducted in 18 sessions to ensure it can be held while maintaining a thorough COVID-19 quarantine system and flawless citizen services. All training sessions will also be conducted in compliance with social distancing quarantine rules.
This training will discuss COVID-19 emergency response strategies and collaboration and communication among employees and ranks to overcome the crisis. Furthermore, there will be time allocated for recharging to relieve accumulated fatigue.
