Lotte Department Store Gwangju Partners with Local Companies to Present Namdo Cheonil Salt-Dyed Products
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Lotte Department Store Gwangju Branch (Manager Na Yeon) announced on the 15th that it will hold an event showcasing natural dye products from the Namdo region in collaboration with local traditional companies until the 27th.
The event, held at a special exhibition space on the 3rd floor of Lotte Department Store Gwangju, is in partnership with the social enterprise "Sum," which operates the Boseong Natural Dye Craft Center, presenting products made using dyes extracted from natural materials such as Boseong green tea to customers.
The Boseong Natural Dye Craft Center is a cultural space that obtains colors from nature using eco-friendly materials, applies five-colored hues to fabric, and develops, researches, and educates on various cultural products such as clothing, bedding, and accessories, allowing individuals to express their own personalities.
Boseong County signed a consignment contract with the incorporated association "Sum" in 2017 to efficiently operate the Natural Dye Craft Center and revitalize Boseong's specialty products.
Along with this, various products are displayed and sold in a separate space to actively promote the elegance of our region's natural dyeing to customers.
