Visit to Flood Recovery Site in Geumcheon-ri, Hwanghaebuk-do
The Workers' Party organ, Rodong Sinmun, reported on the 15th that Chairman Kim Jong Un inspected the site in Gangbuk-ri, North Hwanghae Province, where typhoon damage recovery was completed.
North Korean State Affairs Commission Chairman Kim Jong Un visited Gangbuk-ri, Geumcheon County, North Hwanghae Province, where typhoon damage recovery work was completed first, to encourage the People's Army. Gangbuk-ri was affected by heavy rain and Typhoon 'Bavi' last month, and under Chairman Kim Jong Un's orders, the military was dispatched urgently, making it the first area to complete recovery work.
North Korea's state media, Korean Central News Agency, reported on the 15th, "Comrade Kim Jong Un provided on-site guidance at Gangbuk-ri, Geumcheon County, North Hwanghae Province, which was newly rebuilt after recovering from heavy rain and strong wind damage."
Chairman Kim toured the completed Gangbuk-ri village and expressed satisfaction, saying, "The true power of the People's Army does not lie in the number of troops or the power of firearms and ammunition, but in the spiritual strength of love and faith, holding passionate love for their country and people and firm belief in our Party and revolutionary cause."
At this occasion, Chairman Kim drew attention by unusually referring to himself in the third person. He said, "Having such a strong revolutionary army loyal to the country and people, our Party, and the revolutionary cause is the greatest pride of our Party and state and the greatest blessing that Kim Jong Un possesses."
He also encouraged the military, stating, "Every time I hear the heroic struggle news demonstrated by the soldiers, I deeply feel the boundless and infinite spiritual strength, passionate patriotism, and endless loyalty to the Party and people possessed by the People's Army soldiers, and I bow my head before their dedication and hardships."
The newly constructed Gangbuk-ri features about 50 single-story and multi-story buildings with red roofs, and even government office buildings have been newly renovated, presenting a neat appearance.
He also emphasized the need to set realistic rural construction plans and increase state support.
Chairman Kim explained, "We must set the prospects and goals for local construction, especially rural construction, more realistically and systematically. We should significantly increase national support for the responsible and important work of transforming into a prosperous and cultured socialist countryside."
He added that answers regarding the completion of the socialist rural construction program will be provided at the 8th Party Congress scheduled for early next year.
Earlier, on the 12th, Chairman Kim also visited the flood damage recovery site in Daecheong-ri, Eunpa County, North Hwanghae Province.
This time, by touring the fully restored village, it is interpreted that the rapid recovery under the leadership of Chairman Kim and the Workers' Party is being highlighted.
