WiniaAid Donates 77 Million KRW to Community Chest's 'Overcoming COVID-19' Campaign
[Asia Economy Reporter Ki-min Lee] Winia Aid announced on the 14th that it donated 77 million KRW to the Community Chest of Korea’s “Cheer Up! Korea Sharing Campaign.”
The donation ceremony was held with only representatives from the Community Chest of Korea attending, in accordance with social distancing guidelines related to COVID-19.
The Cheer Up! Korea Sharing Campaign is a campaign launched by the Community Chest of Korea in May to help low-income families and small business owners struggling due to the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), and Winia Aid joined the campaign starting in June.
This campaign was conducted in a way that when customers purchase products such as kimchi refrigerators, air conditioners, and washing machines at Winia Dimchae specialty stores, 3,000 KRW per product is donated to the Community Chest of Korea.
