A man in his 40s dies while snorkeling near Udo Island, Jeju Sea

Seogwipo Coast Guard announced that on the 13th at around 1:20 PM, they received a report and rescued tourist A (male, 47 years old, Busan), transported him to a hospital, but he eventually passed away.
On that day, A was snorkeling with companion B near Haumokdong Port in Udo, Jeju. B, who came out of the water first, could not find A and reported to the Coast Guard around 1:20 PM.
In response, Seogwipo Coast Guard dispatched a helicopter, patrol vessels, coastal rescue boats, rescue teams, and private rescue boats to search for A. Around 2:04 PM, companion B, who was participating in the search, found A.
The Coast Guard took A aboard the Seongsan Police Substation coastal rescue boat and moved to Seongsan Port. At around 2:23 PM, they handed him over to 119 and transported him to a hospital in Jeju City, but he eventually died.
