[Asia Economy Reporter Jongil Park] Kim Young-jong, Mayor of Jongno District, attended the tailored suit delivery ceremony for neighbors organized by the community project ‘Jongno Sinsa’ held at the mayor’s office on the 9th.
The community project Jongno Sinsa was planned to gift high-quality tailored suits to marginalized neighbors within the local community. The project is especially meaningful as representatives who have operated men's custom fabric, pattern, and accessory businesses in Jongno 5-ga for decades voluntarily participated to contribute to the community based on their expertise and technical skills.
The recipients of the tailored suits were a total of nine individuals, including low-income residents and those who have contributed to or served as role models in the community.
At the ceremony, two representatives from the tailoring industry who proposed the project and one resident attended, adding distinction to the event.
The items delivered consisted of suit jackets and pants, neckties, and dress shirts, valued at approximately 700,000 KRW at market price.
