People Selling Hope, Supporting Vulnerable Flood Victims in Gokseong-gun with Home Appliances Worth 400 Million Won
Hope is Here~! Smiles of Hope Delivered to 461 Flood-Vulnerable Households
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Gokseong-gun, Jeollanam-do announced on the 12th that the nonprofit public interest corporation Hope Sellers (CEO Chae Hwan) supported a total of 400 million KRW worth of home appliances to 461 households affected by the disaster.
Hope Sellers conducted the "Home Appliance Gift Project for Flood-Vulnerable Groups" for disaster victims who lost, damaged, or had their homes flooded due to the heavy rains in August.
Residents who had lost all their belongings and were overwhelmed by recovery efforts received refrigerators, washing machines, TVs, air conditioners, and more through the project, showing bright smiles for the first time in a while.
Hope Sellers is a nonprofit public interest corporation active since 1997, led by CEO Chae Hwan, who is a singer and meditation expert.
They have continuously engaged in donation activities, fundraising, and volunteer work through street performances and the YouTube channel "Gwijeon Meditation Chae Hwan TV."
Domestically, they have branches in Seoul, Daejeon, Daegu, Busan, and Jeju, and internationally, branches in New York, Cambodia, and Vietnam.
In recognition of their social contributions, they received the Minister of Health and Welfare Award at the Korea Sharing Awards in 2019.
