The National Basic Local Government Heads Manifesto Best Practices Competition is an event that gathers excellent pledges and policies of mayors, county governors, and district heads in one place to build a new model of democracy and strengthen the policy capabilities of local governments, sharing solutions to regional problems and future alternatives.
This competition was held under the theme of “Innovative Dialogue for Future Society,” inviting excellent pledge cases across seven fields: job creation and employment improvement, income gap resolution, super-aged society response, climate and environment, safety autonomy, regional culture revitalization, and newsletter broadcasting.
Among 226 basic local governments nationwide, 144 submitted 353 cases, showing enthusiasm hotter than any other year.
The district presented the case of the inclusive dementia healing program that cares for both dementia patients and their families, titled 'Nadu (Do) Remembering with Family, Family Memory Care (Care),' and won the Grand Prize in the super-aged society response category.
The 'Nadu (Do) Remembering with Family, Family Memory Care (Care)' case received high evaluation from the judges through ▲ virtual experience training using VR devices ▲ utilization of ICT-based smart programs such as robot therapy and AI speakers ▲ management of dementia patients and families through operation of the Memory Enhancement School ▲ operation of the Dorandoran Forest Experience Program.
