[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Kim Young-jong, Mayor of Jongno-gu, attended the “Let's Create Together, Tomorrow!” Our Agricultural Products Sharing Box Delivery Ceremony held on the 9th.
The sharing boxes, worth approximately 50,000 KRW and consisting of seasonal fruits and convenient food items, are scheduled to be delivered to 800 households, including low-income single-parent families, basic livelihood security recipients, and near-poverty groups.
The purchase was made in bulk at Hanaro Mart Sajik Branch with the cooperation of the Seoul Regional Headquarters of the National Agricultural Cooperative Federation, and to prevent the spread of COVID-19, the boxes will be delivered directly to each household.
KMI Korea Medical Institute (Chairman Kim Soon-yi), which sponsored this Our Agricultural Products Sharing Box, signed an agreement with Jongno-gu in November last year to provide an annual sponsorship of 40 million KRW.
Going forward, Jongno-gu plans to continuously carry out various projects aimed at improving the living standards of vulnerable groups, including education and culture, based on the sponsorship fund from the Korea Medical Institute Foundation.
